1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use & Service ("Terms") constitute an agreement between you and Grand Central Watch. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the website, purchase products through the website, or submit property to Grand Central Watch for service.

Additional written terms may apply to particular purchases, repairs, appraisals, restorations, warranties, estimates, invoices, intake forms, shipping arrangements, or other services. Where a separate written agreement or service document specifically addresses a matter covered by these Terms, the more specific written terms will control with respect to that matter.

2. Website Use

You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You represent that you are legally entitled to access the website and to use the information and services made available through it.

Grand Central Watch may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the website at any time. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

3. Repair, Restoration, Evaluation & Appraisal Services

Grand Central Watch provides watch repair, restoration, maintenance, appraisal, authentication, and related services. The availability and scope of any service depend on the timepiece, its condition, parts availability, prior work, construction, age, complexity, and other factors identified during physical inspection.

Information provided by telephone, email, photographs, website forms, or other remote communication is preliminary only. A watch or other item must be physically inspected before Grand Central Watch can provide final service recommendations, pricing, parts availability, or an estimated completion timeframe.

Grand Central Watch reserves the right to decline any repair, restoration, appraisal, or other service request in its discretion, including where required parts, equipment, technical information, or appropriate service options are unavailable.

4. Estimates, Authorization, Pricing & Payment

Repair and restoration estimates are based on the condition of the item as reasonably determined during evaluation. Additional conditions may become apparent only after disassembly or further inspection. If additional work is recommended beyond the authorized scope, Grand Central Watch may contact the customer for further authorization before proceeding.

Evaluation fees may apply when an estimate is declined. Applicable evaluation fees vary depending on the type of watch, requested service, and complexity of the evaluation.

Depending on the service, payment or a deposit may be required after an estimate is approved and before authorized work begins. Any remaining balance and applicable charges must be paid in accordance with the applicable invoice, estimate, or service documentation.

Prices displayed on the website are for general informational purposes unless expressly stated otherwise. Service prices shown online may be starting prices and do not constitute a final repair estimate.

Estimated completion dates and turnaround times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Timing may be affected by parts availability, supplier delays, movement complexity, restoration requirements, testing, shipping, or other circumstances.

5. Customer Property & Insurance

Grand Central Watch maintains commercial insurance coverage for customer property in its custody, subject at all times to the terms, conditions, limits, deductibles, exclusions, valuation provisions, and other requirements of the applicable insurance policies.

Insurance coverage does not apply to every circumstance or cause of loss. Grand Central Watch does not maintain flood insurance. Flood loss, and any other loss excluded or not covered by the applicable insurance policy, may not be insured.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability to the extent that liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

6. Security & Claims Procedures

Grand Central Watch maintains security and property-handling procedures appropriate to its operations and takes reasonable measures to protect customer property while it is in our custody.

In connection with any insurance claim or reported loss, theft, or damage, customers may be required to provide information or documentation reasonably requested by Grand Central Watch or its insurance carrier, including proof of ownership, purchase documentation, photographs, prior appraisals, identifying information, or other records relevant to the claim.

Grand Central Watch will reasonably cooperate with the security, reporting, documentation, and claims procedures required by its applicable insurance policies.

7. Inherent Risks of Watch Repair & Vintage Restoration

Watches are complex mechanical and electronic instruments. Vintage, antique, previously repaired, modified, damaged, corroded, or heavily worn timepieces may contain conditions that are not visible before opening or disassembly.

By authorizing service, you acknowledge that inspection, disassembly, cleaning, testing, repair, restoration, adjustment, and reassembly may reveal or be affected by pre-existing deterioration or fragility, including:

• brittle, worn, corroded, fatigued, or previously damaged components;
• aged dials, hands, luminous material, crystals, crowns, cases, bracelets, finishes, seals, or gaskets;
• prior repairs, refinishing, modifications, replacement parts, or non-original components;
• discontinued, unavailable, or difficult-to-source parts;
• damage or deterioration that becomes apparent only after disassembly;
• limitations in the accuracy, power reserve, water resistance, or performance achievable with older or historically significant timepieces; and
• cosmetic or mechanical conditions inherent to the age, prior use, construction, or history of the item.

Grand Central Watch will use reasonable care in performing authorized work. However, an outcome cannot be guaranteed where performance or appearance is limited by pre-existing condition, age, unavailable parts, prior work, or inherent material fragility.

Cosmetic restoration, polishing, refinishing, dial work, hand work, and replacement of visible components will be discussed separately where appropriate. For vintage watches, preservation of original finishes or components may be recommended.

8. Water Resistance

Water resistance depends on the design and condition of the case, crown, crystal, pushers, gaskets, seals, and other components. Battery replacement, opening the case, or performing a partial repair does not by itself restore or guarantee water resistance.

Water resistance should be relied upon only where Grand Central Watch has specifically performed appropriate testing or service and has expressly confirmed the applicable result. Vintage watches and watches with aged, damaged, or unavailable sealing components may not be capable of being restored to their original water-resistance specifications.

9. Service Warranty

Qualifying complete movement services performed by Grand Central Watch include a 24-month limited service warranty covering the work performed and parts installed by our workshop, subject to the applicable service documentation and exclusions.

Partial repairs address only the specific work authorized and do not constitute a warranty covering the overall operation, condition, or continued running of the entire watch.

Warranty coverage does not extend to conditions unrelated to the authorized work or to accidental damage, impact, misuse, moisture intrusion where not covered by the authorized service, magnetization, normal wear, external components, deterioration of pre-existing components, or work performed by another repair provider after Grand Central Watch's service.

If you believe a concern may relate to service performed by Grand Central Watch, please contact us before another repair provider opens, alters, or works on the watch. Third-party intervention may affect our ability to evaluate the prior service and may affect warranty coverage.

10. Mail-In Service & Shipping

Customers using mail-in service are responsible for following Grand Central Watch's current mailing instructions and for packaging the item securely for transit. Unless specifically requested, customers should not include original presentation boxes, warranty cards, papers, or unrelated accessories.

Risk associated with shipment to or from Grand Central Watch may depend on the shipping method, carrier, declared value, insurance arrangement, and applicable carrier or third-party coverage. Any insurance or liability applicable to transit is subject to the terms and limitations of the applicable carrier, insurer, or shipping arrangement.

Grand Central Watch is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, transportation interruptions, incorrect shipping information supplied by the customer, or other circumstances outside Grand Central Watch's reasonable control, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law.

11. Pickup, Storage & Unclaimed Property

Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information and for responding to communications regarding estimates, completed service, declined service, payment, pickup, or return shipping.

Grand Central Watch may provide notice when an item is ready for pickup or when customer action is required. Items that remain unclaimed for an extended period may become subject to reasonable storage charges and any rights or procedures available to Grand Central Watch under applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to authorize disposition of customer property except in accordance with applicable law and any legally required notice procedures.

12. Customer Representations

By submitting property to Grand Central Watch, you represent that you are the lawful owner of the property or are otherwise authorized by the lawful owner to request evaluation, repair, restoration, appraisal, shipping, or other services.

You agree to provide accurate identifying, ownership, contact, and service information and to notify Grand Central Watch promptly if any information changes while the item remains in our custody.

13. Product Sales, Availability & Descriptions

Grand Central Watch offers new, vintage, pre-owned, and other timepieces and merchandise. We make reasonable efforts to describe merchandise accurately. Vintage and pre-owned items may show evidence of age, wear, prior service, refinishing, component replacement, or other characteristics consistent with their history.

Product photographs are provided for reference. Color, scale, finish, patina, and other visual characteristics may appear differently depending on lighting, photography, display settings, and the condition of the item.

Merchandise availability and pricing may change without notice. Grand Central Watch may correct typographical, pricing, inventory, or descriptive errors and may cancel an order and issue an appropriate refund where necessary.

Returns and exchanges are subject to Grand Central Watch's applicable return policy and any product-specific terms presented at the time of sale.

14. Payment & Shipping for Purchases

Grand Central Watch may require payment verification, identity verification, wire transfer, matching billing and shipping information, signature confirmation, or other reasonable fraud-prevention measures before releasing or shipping merchandise.

Grand Central Watch reserves the right to decline or cancel an order where payment cannot be verified, inventory is unavailable, pricing or listing information is materially incorrect, fraud is suspected, or another legitimate business reason requires cancellation. Where an order is canceled after payment has been received, an appropriate refund will be issued.

15. Intellectual Property & Trademarks

The names, logos, graphics, photographs, text, website design, service marks, trademarks, and other content displayed on this website are owned by or licensed to Grand Central Watch or their respective rights holders, unless otherwise indicated.

Nothing on this website grants any license or right to reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, display, or otherwise use protected content or trademarks without prior written permission from the applicable rights holder, except as permitted by law.

16. External Links

This website may contain links to third-party websites or services for convenience. Grand Central Watch does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices, products, services, or terms.

Use of third-party websites and services is at your own risk and is subject to the applicable third party's terms and policies.

17. Website Warranties & Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the website and website content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Grand Central Watch makes no representation that website content will always be complete, current, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.

Nothing on the website should be treated as a final repair diagnosis, appraisal, valuation, service estimate, warranty determination, insurance determination, or professional advice regarding a specific timepiece unless expressly provided in applicable written service documentation.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Grand Central Watch will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from use of the website, interruption of website access, loss of data, delays outside our reasonable control, or other matters not directly caused by Grand Central Watch.

Liability relating to customer property in Grand Central Watch's custody is additionally subject to the Customer Property & Insurance provisions above and to any applicable written service agreement, estimate, invoice, insurance policy, or other governing document.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability that applicable law prohibits Grand Central Watch from disclaiming.

19. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

Grand Central Watch will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including transportation interruptions, carrier delays, supply-chain disruption, parts shortages, power or communications failures, government action, labor disruption, severe weather, natural disasters, or other similar events, except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law.

20. Privacy

Personal information collected through the website or in connection with purchases and services may be used to process transactions, communicate regarding repairs and orders, maintain business records, prevent fraud, administer warranties, address claims, and otherwise operate Grand Central Watch's business, subject to applicable law and any separately posted privacy policy.

21. Changes to These Terms

Grand Central Watch may update these Terms from time to time. Revised Terms become effective when posted unless a different effective date is stated. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page identifies the most recent revision.

Where a customer has signed or otherwise affirmatively accepted a separate version of service terms for a particular repair or transaction, that accepted version will continue to govern that transaction to the extent applicable.

22. Conflict of Terms

If these Terms conflict with a more specific written agreement, estimate, invoice, warranty, return policy, intake form, or other policy applicable to a particular transaction or service, the more specific document will control with respect to that transaction or service.

23. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law or, where appropriate, treated as severed. The remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

24. No Waiver

A failure by Grand Central Watch to enforce any provision of these Terms on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce that provision or any other provision on another occasion.

25. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms and any dispute arising from the website, a purchase, or services provided by Grand Central Watch will be governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Subject to any mandatory law that provides otherwise, the parties agree that disputes arising from these Terms or services provided by Grand Central Watch will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in the State of New York.
