About the Watch
The Davosa Ternos Ceramic Diver 16155550 is Maison's rendition of the quintessential divers watch, the one that every sports lover imagines curled around their wrist.
Its iconic, almost eternal design stems from the beginning of underwater exploration, virtually untouched for 70 years, and still today, it surprises us for its modern and stylish looks. This edition of the Ternos is a high-end Swiss-made diver watch that surprises the wearer for many other characteristics as well: it feels perfect when worn, snug, and solid, and it is impeccably finished, as all Davosa timepieces are from 1881 onwards.
THE WATCH
The Davosa Ternos Ceramic Diver 16155550 offers every characteristic of the typical diver's watch, thanks to its sturdy stainless steel case and its industry-standard, precise DAV 3021 movement with date function. The unidirectional ceramic bezel with 120 clicks is perfectly aligned to the markers and perfectly tight on the watch.
The design and finishing of the case are technical, perfect for a tool watch like this diver's, but impeccably finished with contrasting polishes on the stainless steel carrure elements, which complement the bracelet. The black dial with very evident hands, applied indexes, and generous Superluminova coating is perfectly legible even in low light situations, and its readability stands out thanks to the sapphire crystal with cyclops lens, coated with a soft blue anti-reflective treatment.
It is a luxury watch with a perfect fit and grip at the wrist, thanks to the curved shape of the lugs that follow the profile and the intuitive micro-regulations, which render it easily wearable, while still having a nice and balanced wrist presence with its 40 mm size. The stainless steel bracelet, with its special three-segment President-style link design, makes it feel like you are wearing a glove and not a 200-gram watch that could accompany you through every challenge.
The Davosa Ternos Ceramic Diver 16155550 offers a water resistance of 200 meters, which is more than enough for every kind of aquatic activity, skin diving or amateur scuba diving, or other sports activities without any issue: it is a rugged high-end divers' watch. But we're sure you'll appreciate it even outside the water, like at the bar for a drink with your friends (and you'll get lots of compliments) or for an important meeting at your office downtown.
THE MOVEMENT
The DAV 3021 automatic movement is the Davosa rendition of one of watchmaking's most popular and successful modern movements, the Swiss-made family of ETA 2824 and its clone, the Sellita series 200. It is a precise, Swiss-made automatic movement beating at 28,800 BPH with 38 hours of power reserve.
The watch comes with a manufacturer's warranty of two years and is sent in a few days from your order, directly to your door via Express Courier. Straight from us, so you can save.
IN SHORT
The Davosa Ternos Ceramic Diver 16155550 is a great-looking Swiss-made diver's watch that represents a perfect interpretation of the concept of the diver's watch, by staying close to its original roots and re-editing it by adding the subtle improvements offered by modern craftsmanship. It provides the qualities of an authentic high-end tool watch that you could rely on for every occasion, from the most formal to the most taxing. And it demonstrates the character of someone who understands what watches are worth and knows how to choose the most fitting timepiece for his needs.
About the Brand
A DAVOSA watch is instilled with more than 150 years of finest watchmaking history, even though the birth year of the DAVOSA name was in fact 1993. This was the year in which the Swiss Hasler family joined forces with Friedrich-Wilhelm Bohle, a German entrepreneur who had been a successful watch distributor since the 1960s.
It was a meeting of like minds from the start: both Friedrich-Wilhelm Bohle and his Swiss business partners were passionate about mechanical watches. By the late twentieth century the watch market had long been dominated by the quartz movement, so it was high time for a mechanical watch renaissance. Their fruitful cooperation resulted in a small and select collection of mechanical watches that was issued under the new brand name: DAVOSA.
The collection was an instant success, acclaimed by customers, retailers and the trade press alike. Subsequent collections went on to write their own chapter of the brand’s success story.
Today the DAVOSA brand offers a comprehensive spectrum of both elegant and sporty watches.
DAVOSA still operates as an independent, family-run concern to ensure continuing high standards of technology and design, and to share our passion for uncompromising watches with all our customers.
Our watches resulting from this passionate dedication to the art of watchmaking are now available in the United-States. And the world of sophisticated mechanical watches would not be complete without them.
