About the Watch

This unique series offers two different models: the Gold Seahorse and the Blue Seahorse, which present two special color combinations to suit different styles and sensibilities.

The Blue Seahorse, treading the paths of the abyss

The Blue Seahorse plunges deep into the magical experience of the deep sea and its hidden mysteries.

It features a black and blue color scheme with contrasting silver details and markers, which spring out from its mesmerizing dial, which fades from navy blue on top to deep black on the bottom, and echoes the effect felt by professional divers during their explorations.

Both of these watches display a unique case back, created exclusively for this Special US Edition, decorated with a seahorse embellished with a stars and stripes motif, as this Special Edition is reserved for the Davosa fans living in the US.

The Davosa Ternos Sixties faithfully echoes the skin divers of the time. The extra length hands (seconds hand hit the mark), in the 40mm diameter stainless steel case make it perfect on almost anyone's wrist - a charming, unisex watch to emphasize the wearer's sporty vocation.

The watch comes with a unidirectional aluminum bezel, also typical of timepieces of those years, and mounts a domed sapphire glass with anti-reflective treatment that protects the dial - a definite step up from the methacrylate plastic glasses used in that era.

All Davosa Ternos Sixties automatic editions mount the precise automatic caliber DAV 3021, derived from the Sellita SW200, an industry-standard, robust movement beating at 28,800 BPH which gives the watch a 42-hour power reserve.

About the Brand

A DAVOSA watch is instilled with more than 150 years of finest watchmaking history, even though the birth year of the DAVOSA name was in fact 1993. This was the year in which the Swiss Hasler family joined forces with Friedrich-Wilhelm Bohle, a German entrepreneur who had been a successful watch distributor since the 1960s.

It was a meeting of like minds from the start: both Friedrich-Wilhelm Bohle and his Swiss business partners were passionate about mechanical watches. By the late twentieth century the watch market had long been dominated by the quartz movement, so it was high time for a mechanical watch renaissance. Their fruitful cooperation resulted in a small and select collection of mechanical watches that was issued under the new brand name: DAVOSA.
The collection was an instant success, acclaimed by customers, retailers and the trade press alike. Subsequent collections went on to write their own chapter of the brand’s success story.

Today the DAVOSA brand offers a comprehensive spectrum of both elegant and sporty watches.
DAVOSA still operates as an independent, family-run concern to ensure continuing high standards of technology and design, and to share our passion for uncompromising watches with all our customers.

Our watches resulting from this passionate dedication to the art of watchmaking are now available in the United-States. And the world of sophisticated mechanical watches would not be complete without them.
